2012. Bring. It. On.

2012. Bring. It. On.

Funny little comic I found, but this is not us friends! Right? Right.

2012 is upon us friends! Yes, it is a fresh, New Year. I know we are nine days strong in the New Year, but I thought I needed to write this post for personal reasons. So far the hubs and I have been snowboarding (if you could call it that with all the dirt patches!), cheered rather loudly at a Laker’s game and I managed to almost break my nose shutting a door that had a hanging pull-up bar mounted (yes, if you must know…I look very good with black eyes)! Not bad for nine days in!

My dream is that this year will be everyone’s best year yet. Not to say that it will be our best year EVER, but definitely beating out the rest in pure awesomeness. Some New Year’s resolutions I’ve jotted down…

1.) Get involved with our church community and the Loma Linda/Redlands/SB community.

2.) Deepen relationships with family and friends and even make some new ones (this will make my social butterfly of a hubby very happy)

3.) Conquer the GAPS diet and get my family baby ready in these next couple of years (this is kind of an ongoing goal…and yes, I did say years Mother Dearest…)

4.) Pay off the remainder of my student loans within 2012. This has been quite a task and sacrifice for Matt and I, but I know we are honoring the Lord in this endeavor.

5.) Take a dance class (ballet, lyrical, jazz). I have wanted to do this since I stopped cheering competitively in college. Yes, I was a cheerleader…hard to believe? I think not.

6.) Learn to play piano. My neighbor owns a music studio and is aware of my lifelong dream to play. I am going to contact him this week.

7.) Honor and glorify the Lord in this upcoming year (and obviously in the years to come) and keep Him in the driver’s seat, despite all my wants/goals/etc.

8.) Have A LOT of fun with my husband while honoring and loving him deeper and deeper.

9.) Do something with my holistic nutrition training…still unclear on what.

I know this list is long-ish, but life is short. I will be honest I am not the best at goal conquering, but this can be added to the resolutions as well. Lord knows it’s easy to be content with our usual business, but let’s challenge ourselves to live wholeheartedly and conquer some things we’ve had lurking around on our “To-Do” lists!

What kind of resolutions have you made for 2012?

Wishing you all a joyful year!

P.S. I am also working on a Bucket List. It’s looking like life could get pretty adventurous with this bad boy, not to mention romantic!
